The Bible Names Of God
Regarding The Personal
The Prophetic & the Progenic

God reveals aspects of Himself and His Will in His Names, not only that we attach to a certain revelation or attribute, but that we know HIM and that He be known to all generations and to all nations. For Example:

The Personal  — The LORD God of Abraham — God to a man   -  Genesis 24:37
The Prophetic — The God of Israel — God to a nation
The Progenic  — the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob
                             — God to/through/in a family   -   Exodus 3:15 & 16
Which again takes The Personal, The Prophetic, The Progenic
            a. The Personal to a family
            b. The Prophetic in a family
            c. The Progenic through a family

The character designations as applied to God are so we can understand and know Him. The revelations of the nature of God are so we can be like Him. At no time is God fragmented. He is always and in all ways Who He is. GOD is fully Elohim, when He speaks as YHVH. God is entirely Elyon—Most High, even when He demonstrates Himself as Servant. God is absolutely Eloah—Fiercely, He Who is to be worshiped even when He is Shepherd , tender & gentle.
